SINGAPORE, April 4 (Reuters) - Bharti Airtel Ltd (BRTI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), India's top mobile services firm, said on Friday it remains keen to acquire mobile telecom assets in developing countries.

"We continue to be on the lookout. We are happy to look at mobile opportunities in emerging markets," the firm's chairman Sunil Mittal said on the sidelines of a business conference in Singapore.

Mittal said, however, that Bharti was not in firm talks with any parties currently.

In February, Bharti, India's fourth-most valuable firm, said its number of users had reached 60 million, including fixed-line and broadband.

New Delhi-based Bharti, 30.8 percent owned by Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (STEL.SI: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), reported a better-than-expected 42 percent jump in net profit to 17.22 billion rupees ($437 million) for the fiscal third quarter ended December.
