Taiwan govt plans to sell more shares in Chunghwa

TAIPEI, May 29 (Reuters) - Taiwan's cabinet said on Thursday the government would sell off more state shares in Chunghwa Telecom (2412.TW), the island's largest telecom carrier, to help fund a slew of infrastructure projects. No details were immediately available.

Taiwan's transport ministry currently owns 35.7 percent in Chunghwa Telecom, which has outstanding capital of T$95.578 billion ($3.1 billion). (US$ = T$30.5) (Reporting by Sheena Lee; Editing by Keiron Henderson)
