Bidding on key US airwaves stalls at $4.71 billion
WASHINGTON, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Bidding stalled at $4.71 billion on Thursday for a key piece of wireless airwaves being auctioned by the U.S. government.
There were no further bids for the "C" block of 700 megahertz spectrum in the 18th round of the auction, shortly after a bid in the previous round surpassed a $4.64 billion minimum price set by the Federal Communications Commission. (Reporting by Peter Kaplan; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
