U.S. court upholds new FCC video franchising rules
WASHINGTON, June 27 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court on Friday upheld new Federal Communications Commission rules designed to make it easier for companies such as AT&T Inc (T.N) and Verizon Communications Inc (VZ.N) to get into the subscription television business.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit turned down a petition by cable operators and municipal officials seeking to overturn the new regulations.
