Omnicom to buy stake in China's Shunya group

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Advertising and marketing services company Omnicom Group (OMC.N) said on Sunday it was taking a significant minority stake in China's Shunya Communications Group through Omnicom's BBDO division.

Shunya International Ad Inc., Shunya Profuture Events Marketing Inc., Shunya International PR Inc. and Shunya PR Inc. will become part of Omnicom's BBDO, Proximity, Porter Novelli and Pleon divisions, respectively, Omnicom said.

Omnicom did not disclose the size of the stake.
