NEW YORK, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Network equipment maker Juniper Networks Inc (JNPR.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Thursday Chief Operating Officer Stephen Elop resigned to take an executive job with Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz).

Elop's resignation was not due to any disagreement with Juniper, the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. (Reporting by Robert Macmillan; Editing by Andre Grenon)
