- CILACAP POWER PLANT DISRUPTION LEADS TO BLACKOUTS

A disruption in coal supplies to the Cilacap power plant, in West Java, led to a power shortage of up to 200 megawatts, and caused blackouts in parts of Java and Bali.

- GOVT ASKS ANEKA TAMBANG TO RAISE DIVIDEND PAYOUT

The government has asked state-owned miner PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM.JK) to contribute a higher portion of its net profit in dividends compared to 2006, when it paid out 40 percent of its net profit, a state enterprises official said, without elaborating.

Indonesia's Indika Energy (INDY.JK) said it plans to increase the output from its coal subsidiary Kideco by 9 percent next year, to take advantage of growing demand for the commodity.

- KPPU ASKS BAPEPAM TO WITHHOLD APPROVAL OF INDOSAT TAKEOVER

Indonesa's anti-trust agency, KPPU, said it has asked the capital market watchdog, Bapepam, to withhold its approval for Qatar Telecom's QTEL.QA plan to increase its stake in PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT.JK), the country's second-largest mobile phone operator.
