Egypt's Orascom Telecom Q3 net at $180.9 mln

CAIRO, Nov 15 (Reuters) - Egypt's Orascom Telecom (ORTE.CA)(ORTEq.L) net income rose to $180.9 million for the third quarter of 2009, the company said in a statement, exceeding analysts' estimates.

The company had previously reported net income of $69.4 million for the third quarter of 2008.

The firm reported revenues of $1.29 billion for the quarter, and said Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation slipped to $578 million. Net income for the full 9-month period to end-September was $365 million, up 5.5 percent on a year ago. (Writing by Cynthia Johnston)
