CHICAGO, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Archer Daniels Midland Co (ADM.N) said on Monday that its grain elevators in Ama, Destrehan, Gemini and Reserve in Louisiana and Corpus Christi in Texas have resumed operations in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike that slammed the Texas Coast on Saturday.

The agribusiness company said its grain elevator in Galveston, Texas, however, remained evacuated.

"We will continue working with local authorities to survey damage at our facilities and ensure the safety of our colleagues," the company said in a statement.

ADM was among several grain companies that halted operations at some facilities along the Gulf of Mexico last week as Ike barreled toward the coast. (Reporting by K.T. Arasu)
