MUMBAI, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Axis Bank (AXBK.BO) said on Monday its board had approved a private placement of $50 million of senior notes under its medium-term note programme.
In a statement to the stock exchange, Axis said the placement was done through its Hong Kong branch. It did not say with who it had placed the debt. (Reporting by V. Ramakrishnan; Editing by John Mair)
