Sept 23 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 2000 GMT on Tuesday.

** Japan's Nomura Holdings Inc (8604.T) agreed to buy Lehman Brothers' equities and investment banking business in Europe and the Middle East, in its second swoop on the bankrupt U.S. bank's overseas assets in 24 hours. To read more, please double click on [ID:nLN452124]
** Bristol-Myers Squibb Co (BMY.N) said it raised to $62 from $60 its per-share offer for the part of biotechnology company ImClone Systems Inc IMCL.O that it does not already own. [ID:nLN213515]
** France's Electricite de France SA (EDF.PA) is poised to announce a 12 billion pound ($22.28 billion) recommended offer for nuclear operator British Energy Group Plc BGY.L, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters. [ID:nOECLN4759]
** Canada's Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD.TO) is weighing a bid for all or part of Washington Mutual Inc WM.N, joining a mix of suitors eyeing a takeover of the U.S. savings and loan, a source familiar with the situation said. [ID:nN23324475]
** Banca Popolare di Milano (PMII.MI) said it had made a bid to buy Anima (ANM.MI) at a price valuing the asset manager at about 107 million euros. [ID:nLN585914]

** Emirates Telecommunications Corp ETEL.AD (Etisalat) bought a 45 percent stake in India's Swan Telecom for about $900 million, a start-up which its managing director said would begin operations in 2009. [ID:nLN213813]
