S.Africa's stock exchange to resume trading

JOHANNESBURG, Sept 8 (Reuters) - South Africa's JSE stock exchange will re-open for trading, but cannot confirm what time trading will recommence on Monday, an official said.

"We are intending to re-open the market, but we're still trying to work out the times," a JSE official told Reuters.

The bourse operator was forced to stop trading early on Monday -- the second time in less than two months -- after equities data stopped updating due to a technical fault.

JSE Ltd's (JSEJ.J) Chief Operating Officer Leanne Parsons said the technical problem was due to the London Stock Exchange (LSE) experiencing connectivity issues which affected both London and Johannesburg's stock exchanges. (Reporting by Serena Chaudhry)
