PARIS, Oct 1 (Reuters) - NYSE Euronext (NEXS.PA) (NYX.N) has completed the acquisition of the American Stock Exchange, the transatlantic stock exchange said on Wednesday.
The takeover, announced in January, is expected to yield annual cost savings of more than $100 million by the end of 2009 and to add to earnings, it said in a statement. (Reporting by Caroline Jacobs; Editing by Greg Mahlich)
