Alon reports increased opacity at Big Spring

HOUSTON, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Alon USA Energy ALJ.N reported increased opacity at its 67,000 barrel per day (bpd) refinery in Big Spring, Texas, on Thursday, acccording to a notice filed with Texas pollution regulators.

The increased opacity was due to the shutdown of the SCOT No. 2 unit at the refinery, according to the notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environemntal Quality. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by David Gregorio)
