(Reuters) - Women's apparel retailer Bebe Stores Inc (BEBE.O) said Dyan Jozwick left the company, barely five months after she was appointed as the chief merchandise officer.

The mall-based retailer said Jozwick's duties will be taken over by the existing management while the company assesses its merchandising structure.

Jozwick had joined Bebe in June this year and was reporting directly to chief executive, Greg Scott. Prior to joining Bebe, she was the chief merchandising officer for specialty retailer, Wet Seal Inc (WTSLA.O).

On November 6, Bebe posted a 25 percent drop in quarterly earnings and had projected a weak second-quarter.

Shares of Brisbane, California-based Bebe were trading slightly down at $5.79 in after-hours trade. They had closed at $5.93 on the Nasdaq Tuesday.
