Soccer-New Zealand qualify for 2010 World Cup finals

WELLINGTON, Nov 14 (Reuters) - New Zealand beat Bahrain 1-0 on Saturday to qualify for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.

In the second leg of their Asia/Oceania playoff at Westpac Stadium in Wellington, Rory Fallon scored the only goal in the final minute of the first half.

The first leg in Bahrain ended 0-0. New Zealand's only previous World Cup appearance was in Spain in 1982.
