Jaguars roll by Texans behind Garrard and Jones-Drew

NEW YORK (Reuters) - David Garrard threw for two touchdowns and Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for two more as the Jacksonville Jaguars rolled to a 37-17 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Garrard hit George Wrighster with a one-yard toss and Reggie Williams with a nine-yarder as the Jaguars (4-1) won a key AFC South contest at home.

Garrard completed 22 of 34 passes for 221 yards and has now thrown 136 passes without an interception.

Jones-Drew scored on runs of seven and 57 yards as the Jaguars scored three consecutive touchdowns in the fourth quarter to break the game open. He rushed for 125 yards on 12 carriers and caught four passes for 59 yards.

Houston fell to 3-3.

*The Green Bay Packers (5-1) rallied to beat the Washington Redskins 17-14 with Charles Woodson returning a fumble 57 yards in the third quarter for the go-ahead touchdown. Packers quarterback Brett Favre broke the NFL record for interceptions with his 278th as the Redskins (3-2) picked off two of his passes. Favre was 19 of 37 for 188 yards and no touchdowns in the home win.

*Tony Gonzalez broke the NFL record for touchdown receptions by a tight end as he caught two scoring passes in the Kansas City Chiefs's 27-20 home win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Gonzalez caught a three-yard pass from Damon Huard in the first quarter to eclipse Shannon Sharpe's career record of 62, then added a 26-yard score on another pass from Huard in the fourth quarter. He had nine receptions from 102 yards in the game.

*Matt Bryant kicked a 43-yard field goal with 11 seconds remaining and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers edged the Tennessee Titans 13-10.  Continued...
