GENEVA (Reuters) - Portugal became the first team at Euro 2008 to reach the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
Portugal beat Czech Republic 3-1 in Geneva to go top of Group A with six points and their qualification for the last eight was confirmed before their final match with Switzerland when Turkey beat the Swiss 2-1 later in Basel.
