World champion Priaulx honored on stamps
LONDON (Reuters) - Three-times world touring car champion Andy Priaulx has been honored on a set of postage stamps issued by the Channel Island of Guernsey where he was born.
Guernsey Post issues on Friday three new stamps featuring the 33-year-old British driver in the three BMW cars he drove to his successive world titles in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
"It's a great honor," Priaulx said at the stamp launch. "It's something very special. I think it's a way the island can celebrate my success."
Priaulx said he planned to contest the world title for at least the next five years.
