Colts rip Texans on route to sixth straight win
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Peyton Manning threw for three touchdowns and the Indianapolis Colts rolled to a 38-15 home victory over the Houston Texans for their sixth straight win on Sunday.
Dallas Clark caught two of Manning's TD passes, giving him a franchise record 11 for the season. He had six catches for the game for 60 yards, breaking the team record for receptions in a season with 57.
Manning was 28-of-35 for 311 yards in three quarters of play as the Colts improved to 13-2.
Sage Rosenfels threw a 17-yard, first-quarter touchdown pass to Kevin Walter to give Houston a 7-0 lead.
But the next 38 points belonged to Indianapolis.
Joseph Addai put the Colts ahead 10-7 with a two-yard run in the second quarter. Manning then connected with Clark on tosses of six and 11 yards for a 24-7 halftime lead.
Clifton Dawson scored on a four-yard run and Manning threw seven yards to Reggie Wayne to make it 38-7 in the third quarter.
Houston (7-8) finally scored again with 1:07 left in the game when Andre Johnson caught a six-yard pass from Rosenfels.
