LONDON (Reuters) - Three-times former Wimbledon champion Venus Williams plans to add another string to her bow by turning her talents to music.

Williams, who beat Czech qualifier Hana Sromova 6-2 6-2 in the second round on Thursday, already has her own interior design company called V Starr Interiors but told reporters the thought of writing music really struck a chord.

"I guess I'd like to write probably pop. I really love electronica and house," the 26-year-old said.

"My sister is really a great writer. I told her, 'please, I want to be just like you'. Hopefully it will rub off on me," she said referring to her older sister who is a singer.

"I'd love to write with her. That's my goal," said Williams, who is also completing a course in fashion design and writes poetry.

"I play the guitar. I don't think I'll really learn to play the piano because I travel too much.

"Nowadays all you have to have is a computer, and if you know a new chord, you can speed it up to what tempo you want, and you're there. So there's do-overs in your own little computer studio," she said.
