BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Michigan (Reuters) - Fredrik Jacobson had good reason to smile after recording a hole-in-one at the par-three 13th in Sunday's final round of the U.S. PGA Championship at Oakland Hills Country Club.

The 33-year-old Swede holed out with a four-iron from 193 yards, the 37th ace achieved in the final major championship of the season since 1970.

It was the 20th hole-in-one recorded on the 2008 PGA Tour.

"That was a lot of fun," a beaming Jacobson told reporters after closing with a three-over-par 73 for a share of 24th place at nine-over 289.

"There were a lot of people around that green and funnily enough, I called it out (as an ace) when it was in the air as well.

"We were cracking up on the tee. It had a long ways to go but it looked good all the way before it dropped in. And I didn't make a birdie all week on the back nine."
