LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andruw Jones is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks after having surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right knee on Tuesday.

The procedure went smoothly and Jones will begin rehabilitation immediately, the Dodgers said on their official Web site (losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com).

His estimated recovery time is between four and six weeks.

Jones, signed by the Dodgers on a $36.2 million, two-year deal, is hitting .165 with two home runs and seven RBIs in his first season.
