WITNESS: A hacker's tale of golf with Christina Kim

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Following are some tips for an amateur playing 18 holes with Christina Kim, one of the world's top women golfers.

* Do not try to hit the ball farther than her. You cannot.

* If strong language offends you, find another playing partner.

* She is much, much better than you. Live with it.

* Bring an emergency pair of trousers.

Getting an invitation to play in a traditional Pro-Am event with one of the world's best ahead of the $2 million HSBC Women's Champions tournament in Singapore filled me with excitement and dread.

Christina Kim has the golfing world at her feet. The bubbly, boisterous, beret-wearing 23-year-old has earned nearly $2.5 million since her rookie year in 2003.

With two LPGA victories and a Solheim Cup win to her name, the American has become one of the LPGA's biggest drawcards, though her unconventional fashion sense and use of "colorful" language have not gone down well with traditionalists.  Continued...
