Donovan having second thoughts over Orlando job: report
MIAMI (Reuters) - Billy Donovan is having second thoughts about accepting the Orlando Magic head coaching job and hopes to return to the University of Florida, the Orlando Sentinel reported on its Web site on Sunday.
Just days after joining the NBA team, Donovan has approached both the Magic and Florida officials in an attempt to void his five-year, $27.5 million contract so that he could return to the university, the newspaper reported.
Donovan, who guided Florida to back-to-back NCAA championships, was hired as Magic coach on Thursday and introduced to the media on Friday.
Neither Magic nor Florida officials would comment, the Sentinel said.
