DALLAS (Reuters) - Trinidad's Richard Thompson equaled the year's fastest 60 meters for a second consecutive day when he clocked 6.51 seconds to win the NCAA indoor title at Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Saturday.

The time matched Thompson's performance in Friday's preliminaries. Only Nigerian world indoor champion Olusoji Fasuba has run as fast this year.

Thompson edged fellow Louisiana State University student Trindon Holliday for the NCAA title. American Holliday finished in 6.54 seconds.

Arizona State University won both the men's and women's team titles.
