Manning's passes lead Colts to big win over Ravens

INDIANAPOLIS (Reuters) - Quarterback Peyton Manning threw three first-half touchdown passes as the Indianapolis Colts won their sixth consecutive game against the Baltimore Ravens, claiming a 31-3 victory on Sunday.

A week after struggling to defeat the then-winless Houston Texans, the Colts (3-2) had little difficulty with the Ravens (2-3), cruising to a 31-0 third-quarter lead to grab their first home win of the season.

The loss was the third in a row for the Ravens.

Manning passed to Marvin Harrison for touchdowns in the first and second quarters and threw 22 yards to Reggie Wayne for another first quarter score.

Harrison covered 67 yards with his first touchdown reception and five for his second.

"We hit some of those deep passes that we have just missed in other days," Colts coach Tony Dungy told reporters at halftime.

"I thought we got off to a great start," Dungy said after the game. "Our special teams did a good job for us getting that field position early in the game."

He also praised the defense, which sacked rookie Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco four times and intercepted three of his passes.

The Colts wrapped up the win with Dominic Rhodes's one-yard run in the third quarter while Baltimore registered their sole score when, with just over one minute left in the third, Matt Stover kicked a 37-yard field goal.

Colts starting running back Joseph Addai limped off in the first quarter with a hamstring injury, but Dungy said: "I think Joseph is going to be okay."

Indianapolis back Mike Hart also was injured, hurting his left knee in the second quarter after a pass reception.

"It doesn't look great," Dungy said.
