SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike Martz has been fined $20,000 by the NFL for public criticism of game officials earlier this month, the league said on Friday.

Martz complained his team had been "screwed" during the final seconds of San Francisco's 29-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on November 10.

According to Martz, the 49ers were not informed by officials about changing the spot of the ball after a replay review following a run by Frank Gore.

Initially, the spot was on the one-yard line but, after the review, the ball was moved back between the two and three.

"We got screwed because of the spot...we got screwed every way possible," Martz told reporters the day after the game.

Asked earlier this week about his NFL fine, Martz replied: "We'll deal with it. It's not something I want to discuss. I won't discuss it."
