NEW YORK (Reuters) - San Francisco's Tim Lincecum and Toronto's Roy Halladay will be the starting pitchers for Tuesday's All-Star Game, Major League Baseball said on Monday.

Lincecum, the 2008 National League Cy Young Award winner, has compiled a 10-2 record and 2.33 earned run average this season. The right-hander missed last year's game after being hospitalized with severe dehydration.

Halladay will start for the American League. The Blue Jays right-hander will bring a 10-3 record and 2.85 ERA into the game.

The American League has not lost the all-star contest since 1996 with only a 7-7 tie in 2002 marring a run of victories.
