Marshall breaks own 50 meters backstroke world record

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - American Peter Marshall clocked a world record 22.73 seconds in the final of the men's 50 meters backstroke at a World Cup short course event on Wednesday.

Marshall broke his previous mark of 22.75 set in Durban, South Africa, on October 17.
