NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - New Orleans point guard Chris Paul injured his left ankle and had to be helped off the floor in the third quarter of the Hornets' 86-78 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

Paul landed awkwardly on the foot of a Portland player before falling to the court and writhing in pain. Paul had rolled the same ankle against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

"I know I'm out tomorrow," Paul told reporters, adding that the extent of the injury was still unknown.

"That's the worst. That's what frustrated me the most because I hate to watch and know that I'll miss a game."
