Hurricanes beat Wild to end 14-game winless streak

RALEIGH, North Carolina (Reuters) - The Carolina Hurricanes ended a 14-game winless streak when they beat the Minnesota Wild 5-4 in a shootout on Sunday.

Jussi Jokinen delivered the game winner as Carolina won for the first time since October 9.

Jokinen also scored in regulation time along with Joe Corvo, Ray Whitney and Brandon Sutter for the Hurricanes (3-12-4), who led 3-0 in the second period. Robbie Earl had two goals for Minnesota (7-11-2).
