NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - New Orleans Hornets All-Star guard Chris Paul will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a sprain to his left ankle, the team said Monday.

Paul suffered the injury late in the third quarter of Friday's game against Portland when he landed on Joel Przybilla's ankle.

A two-time All-Star, Paul is averaging 23.8 points, 9.2 assists and 1.7 steals this season. He leads the NBA in three point percentage (.655).
