His lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the suit in a New
York state court in the Bronx on Monday.
A grand jury had indicted Strauss-Kahn, the former managing
director of the International Monetary Fund, based on the
woman's accusation that he had forced her to perform oral sex
in a luxury suite on May 14, but prosecutors later asked a
judge to drop the criminal charges because they had lost faith
in her credibility, and the judge dismissed the case.
