NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Weather Channel Interactive Inc. on Tuesday said it would team up with MySpace to create a new weather section on the popular social community Web site.

Under the plan, the MySpace weather section will feature current conditions and five-day forecasts as well as national and regional maps, weather headlines and weather and climate- related video content.

The MySpace weather section will also link to www.weather.com, where users can get more in-depth weather information.

MySpace, which attracts some 80 million unique visitors per month in the United States, is a unit of News Corp.
