NEW YORK (Reuters) - News Corp. NWSa.N said on Thursday it was in discussions with other media, advertisers and Internet companies about joining its online video venture with NBC.

Talks about the new venture have also been held with Google Inc. (GOOG.O), whose YouTube is now a hugely popular online video site, NBC and News Corp executives said on a call to discuss their Internet partnership.

Peter Chernin, News Corp's President, said he expects the unnamed site to be "the biggest video destination" on the Internet.

He also said News Corp and NBC were in talks with other media companies about supplying content to the online video site. Discussions were also taking place with additional advertisers and Internet companies, which could distribute the video.

Already, Yahoo Inc. (YHOO.O), Microsoft Corp. (MSFT.O), Time Warner Inc.'s (TWX.N) AOL and News Corp.'s MySpace have signed on as distributors. Current advertisers include Cadbury Schweppes Plc (CBRY.L), Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO.O) and General Motors (GM.N).
