Dell "more focused" on computers than phones
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Dell Inc (DELL.O) Chief Executive Michael Dell said on Monday the company is "more focused on the computer business" and declined further comment when asked if Dell was interested in buying Motorola Inc's (MOT.N) mobile phone business.
Dell, the world's second-largest personal-computer maker, is among companies thought by analysts to be potential buyers of Motorola's handset business. Motorola said last week it was reviewing strategic options including splitting off its phone unit.
"We really don't comment on rumors and speculation," Michael Dell told Reuters in an interview. "We are more focused on the computer business."
