TOKYO (Reuters) - Japanese electronics conglomerate Toshiba Corp. (6502.T) plans to produce large color TVs using organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology by 2009, company president Atsutoshi Nishida told a news conference on Thursday.
OLED is seen as a promising next-generation display technology likely to one day compete with liquid crystal displays and plasma displays.
