LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The NBC premieres of USA
Network's "Monk" and "Psych" showed once again that cable
network programs get cable-level ratings when transported to
Sunday night's debut of "Monk" (5.7 million viewers) and
"Psych" (4.0 million) came in below the network's time-period
averages at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively.
NBC was third for the night in viewership (5.4 million),
behind CBS (8.8 million) and ABC (8.7 million). Fox (4.8
million) brought up the rear.
CBS boasted the night's most-watched show, an on-par "Cold
Case" (11.8 million) in its second week back in originals. Its
lineup was also bolstered by "Dexter" (7.1 million).
ABC's top-rated reality show, "Extreme Makeover: Home
Edition" (9.9 million), was a repeat at 9 p.m. "Oprah's Big
Give" (9.4 million) dropped to its lowest rating of the season.
"Here Come the Newlyweds" (7.7 million) managed to grow
slightly for its season finale.
