Leno, Nightline beat Letterman in ratings

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - ABC's "Nightline" edged past "Late Show With David Letterman" to take second place in the late-night ratings behind NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," according to latest Nielsen Media Research data.

"Nightline" averaged 3.6 million viewers during the week ended May 19, its best haul since December. "Letterman," which was in reruns, averaged 3.4 million viewers. "Leno" led with 5 million viewers.
