LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alumna Eliza Dushku will replace the star in Fox's one-hour comedic drama pilot "Nurses."

Dushku will play a young woman just out of nursing school who joins the hospital run by her father. She replaces Katheryn Winnick ("Failure to Launch"), who originally was cast in the role; the part was recast after the character was taken in a different, more comedic direction. The project reunites Dushku with Fox following her starring role on "Tru Calling."

Also cast in the "Nurses" pilot is Jaclyn DeSantis, who will play an experienced nurse going through a bitter divorce.
