LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Luke Perry and JoAnna Garcia have signed on to star in the Lifetime holiday TV movie "A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride," which is set to air in December on the women's cable channel.

Garcia plays a twenty-something wedding planner who disapproves of her widowed mother's (Helen Shaver) whirlwind romance with a middle-aged businessman (Kenneth Welsh).

She partners with the man's disgruntled son (Perry) to try to try to scrap the upcoming nuptials, but an unexpected romantic development forces her to re-examine her feelings.

Garcia played Reba's daughter Cheyenne on "Reba," which now airs in syndication on Lifetime. Former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star Perry most recently appeared on HBO's short-lived "John From Cincinnati." Shaver's credits include USA Network's "The 4400," while Welsh recently appeared on NBC's "Bionic Woman" and in the film "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer."
