Peter Gallagher goes "Covert"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Peter Gallagher has been tapped to co-star on USA Network's pilot "Covert Affairs."

The show centers on Annie Walker (Piper Perabo), a multilingual CIA trainee who joins the agency while reeling over a mysterious ex-boyfriend who appears to be of particular interest to her bosses.

Gallagher will play CIA director Arthur Campbell, a regal man and former Naval officer who loves a good fight, great Scotch and a filthy joke.

Gallagher ("The O.C.") recently wrapped the feature "Betty Anne Waters."
