Remodeled "Scrubs" to premiere December 1

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Scrubs" 2.0 will premiere December 1.

ABC announced Wednesday the premiere date for the upcoming ninth season of the veteran comedy series, which is going through a major transformation, ditching its hospital setting and introducing a mostly new cast.

"Scrubs" will launch with back-to-back episodes December 1 at 9 p.m., moving to its regular Tuesday 9 p.m. time slot the following week.

The show's companion, sophomore series "Better Off Ted," will debut December 8 after "Scrubs."
