LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The CW is going to medical school with "HMS," an ensemble drama from "Mystic Pizza" writer Amy Holden Jones.

The project, about a group of bright students at Harvard Medical School, marks the producing debut of "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere, who is attached to the show as co-executive producer.

Jones is the writer-executive producer of the drama, which is said to have a younger "Grey's Anatomy" vibe to it.

In addition to "HMS," Jones is working on "Mystic Pizza: Another Slice," a two-hour "backdoor" pilot in development at Lifetime based on the 1988 film she co-wrote.
