June 10 (Reuters) - Cardiac-device maker Thoratec Corp said its Chief Financial Officer David Smith resigned to pursue other opportunities and Vice-President of Finance Roxanne Oulman will take over on an interim basis, effective immediately.
The company also reiterated its 2011 outlook.
Smith, who joined Thoratec in December 2006, will continue as a full-time non-executive employee of the company until July 1, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Oulman joined Thoratec in February 2004.
Shares of the company were down 3 percent at $31.27 on Thursday on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Anand Basu in Bangalore; Editing by Don Sebastian)
