Qatar orders 57 Boeing aircraft in $13.5 bln deal
DUBAI, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Qatar Airways said on Sunday it had ordered 57 aircraft from Boeing Co (BA.N), including 30 of the U.S. planemakers 787 Dreamliners, in a deal worth $13.5 billion.
The state-owned carrier would also buy 27 Boeing 777 aircraft, including seven freighters, Chief Executive Officer Akbar al-Baker told reporters. The airline had an option to buy 30 more 787s and five more 777s, he said.
The deal was worth $13.5 billion excluding options, Baker said.
