Boeing in $1.32 bln deal for Australian fighters

WASHINGTON, Sept 26 (Reuters) - Boeing Co (BA.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) has received a U.S. Navy contract modification worth up to $1.32 billion for 24 F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jets to be delivered to Australia, the Defense Department said on Wednesday.

The work is expected to be completed in July 2011, the Pentagon said in its daily contract summary. (Reporting by Jim Wolf, editing by Tim Dobbyn)
