Thai PM urges army stay in barracks amid coup rumors
BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat urged the army on Thursday to stay in its barracks amid rumors of an imminent coup, government spokesman Nattawut Saikuar said.
He also denied rumors that Somchai planned to sack army chief Anupong Paochina a day after the general called for a snap election to defuse the country's political crisis.
