Death toll from Iraq bombs rises to 18: police

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The death toll from twin bomb blasts in central Baghdad on Wednesday rose to 18 people, with 53 wounded, police said.

The attack, which killed civilians and police, came as British Prime Minister Gordon Brown made a surprise visit to Iraq and met with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in Baghdad.
